Artist, Gaye Chan , chair of Art and Art History Department at University of Hawaii, Manoa, has been creating many cool public art projects in Hawaii. I used to see these hand-made bikes(Sekine, Marubeni Yamaguchi, Eiryu, Mizutani, Maruka and more) in Japan all the time as a kid. Everything (tofu, noodles, ice block, etc…) came on these work bikes. However, as Japanese got richer and lazier, many manufactures could not ride the wave of Japanese modernization.

A French toy company “Norev” has been making 1/43 scale Tour de France vehicles and riders.. I would love to collect some of these very cute and obscure items for my shelf.

I have been crazy about Gundam for many years. This year, BANDAI will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of GUNDAM by building a highly detailed GUNDAM RX-78 in Tokyo. I will be there for sure this summer. Check out these progress photos.
